I know it may seem weird but lately I've been drawn to the google commercial where the Dad starts an email account for his newborn daughter and sends her emails about her life and attaches pictures and videos.
But I just think this is such a
brilliant great idea to do for my children. When they were each born I wrote them a letter once they turned a year old. I know that I have a blog but writing to each child seems to be so great and so personal.
I want each one of them to know how I felt about them in case something happens to me while they are still young. I guess I feel like you never know when your life is going to come to an end. Is this wrong to be thinking like this? My kids are 12, 10 and 7.
Here are two of my kids with me acting silly.
I have thoughts like that, too. What will they remember of me?
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen that commercial...but it sounds awesome. I think a blog can be a lot like that....letters to our children about our lives and theirs.
ReplyDeleteI love that idea. I don't think its wrong to think like that at all. I don't have kids yet (heck, I'm not even engaged yet!), but I scrapbook so one day, my kids can look back and see what their dad and I were like before we got married and had them and so they will have something to remember their childhoods by.

I think however you want to leave memories for your kids is great. Some make albums, some blog, some write letters, some make videos. All are a great way to chronicle life for them to see later.
